Faith Tested By Fire – Overcoming Self-Condemnation

1 John 3:21-23 AKJV
(21)  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
(22)  And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
(23)  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

Living right helps you have confidence towards God. If you know your heart is right towards God and the people around you, you can pray in faith and receive anything you need in your life.

The 23rd verse focuses on only two commandments. You can find many different commandments throughout the Bible, but these two really sum up everything for you. Believe on the name of Jesus Christ and love one another. That doesn’t mean have gushy feelings about every human being on earth. Value people, not just those who can give you the things you want or need. Be good to them and help them when it’s in your power to do so.

Doing these simple things will help you experience the kind life God has designed for you.

Also, remember these words; “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)
